The town
San Pedro is not a large town, so it still has a village feel where the locals all know each other, and chat away in all the cafes and bars that line the streets.
The heart of the town, just a few minutes walk from San Pedro Apartments, has a pedestrianised shopping street, church and square. There are small bars, cafes and restaurants everywhere in San Pedro, so within a short walk you can explore the delights of traditional Spanish dishes, tapas, and other nationality foods. A supermarket is also conveniently within walking distance of the apartments, and every Thursday you can buy food straight from the local market.
The town’s annual fair (“feria) is held every October. It’s a wonderful time to visit – everyone dances, drinks and eats in tents that cover the streets, and the party goes on throughout the day and night. Every town has its feria, but San Pedro’s is considered one of the most family-friendly in the area.
